As a membership organization, we represent 100 agencies from small, single-site centers to large multi-service organizations In New York. Our work is centered on making sure that New York is a great place to age. We do this through targeted advocacy, data-driven policy, direct assistance & innovative programs.
Policy & Advocacy Work
We help shape the policy agenda for older adults in New York. We advocate for more support for aging New Yorkers in the city and state budgets, against elder abuse, for affordable housing, to help elder immigrants, and for rights and support to caregivers. We develop the needed research that supports the creation of better programs and policies. click here to learn more
We create innovative training sessions for members such as our Annual Conference, Aging Education, Training on evidence based programs and fiscal systems, and continuing education courses for social workers. click here to view our current training program

Outreach & Assistance for Older New Yorkers
LiveOn NY believes that older New Yorkers should get all of the benefits that they are entitled to, should be free from fraud and abuse when seeking medical care, and should be engaged in the advocacy process.
Our direct services programs have an immediate impact on older adults. Our Benefits Outreach Program helps seniors navigate the world of public benefits. Learn what federal, state, and local benefits you may qualify for with a free and confidential screening. We offer screening and application assistance for SNAP, SCRIE, Medicaid, Medicare Savings Program, and other benefits.
LiveOn NY is also the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) in New York State. SMP is a volunteer based program that focuses on educating and empowering seniors to take a more active role in their healthcare by spreading knowledge about how to protect against healthcare fraud.
