23rd Annual Aging Advocacy Day
Just as we have the past 22 years, we will be taking City Hall by storm to ensure New York's seniors are heard this budget season!
Year after year seniors take to City Hall to demand their fair share of the city's budget - and this year will be no different! This year's Annual Advocacy Day will take place on May 9th.
What will we be advocating for?
Here's a look back at highlight's from last year's advocacy day:
22nd Annual Aging Advocacy Day
On Wednesday, May 3rd more than 300 seniors descended on City Hall & 250 Broadway to demand their fair share of the city's budget. Acting as representatives for their senior center or program and the entire network of aging services, seniors make their voices heard during a vibrant rally, as well as during meetings with their respective City Council Members.
Our message was clear:
2017 is the Year of the Senior.
