We’re coming to SOMOS! On Saturday, November 8, LiveOn NY and AARP New York will host a special event celebrating the power of older New Yorkers. We’re rallying for a future where every New Yorker can thrive as they age – and that starts with honoring the leaders who inspire us.

Our event, Age Strong New York: La Edad Trae Poder, will present the current NYC Aging commissioner Lorraine Cortez-Vasquez and the former Female Districts Leader of AD 87 and former NYC Commissioner of Human Rights Julia Rodriguez with our Age Strong Champion Award. This award honors leaders who have made it easier for New Yorkers to age with dignity – and we’ll also be talking about how the Age Strong campaign is working to ensure that their work continues. 

The reception will be at 10AM in the Los Rosales Room at the Caribe Hilton. We can’t wait to see you there!
